Geetha Govindam to be remade in Hindi
Vijay Deverakonda-starrer Geetha Govindam, which was released last year, was a runaway hit at the box office. The romantic and family drama reportedly collected Rs 70 crore at the box office. We now hear that the film is being made in Hindi.
The buzz is that a top production house has bought the rights of the film and they are planning to cast Ishaan Khattar who made his debut with Jhanvi Kapoor, late actor Sridevi’s daughter, in Dhadak last year. The actor seems to be quite excited about his role, which sees him always hassling the heroine, in the film.
Interestingly, the name of the director who would be directing the Hindi version has been kept under wraps. Also, if all goes well, there’s a guessing game among film buffs on when the film will go on floors. Written and directed by Parasuram, Geetha Govindam was bankrolled by Geetha Arts.
